The Lebanese cabinet rejected the State Consultative Council’s decision which grants plaintiffs the right to obtain a copy of the complete dossier on the investigations carried out by the official Commission of Inquiry set up to find out the fate of all those abducted or missing.
Successive Lebanese governments have always pledged to follow up on the issue of civil-war-era missing persons, and give answers and support to their families. Three different committees were established for this purpose. But so far no official results have been issued in this regard.
