Al-Nusra Front says deal brokered between Lebanese and Syrian governments
Al-Qaeda- linked al-Nusra Front said on Monday that a deal has been brokered between the Lebanese and the Syrian governments.

In a statement released by the group’s twitter account, al-Nusra Front said it was informed that the Lebanese General Security handed ten detainees from the Syrian refugees over to the Syrian authorities, adding that the decision to deport these nationals came following the visit of the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mouallem to Beirut.

The al-Nusra Front pointed out that the said decision comes within the framework of the systematic campaign launched against the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

According to the statement, the al-Qaeda-linked group warned against the repercussions of such a step on the Lebanese General Security and its leader who follows the orders of the “Iranian party,” in reference to Hezbollah and affiliates.

Addressing the families of the kidnapped troops, the statement added: “Your government is lying to you, there is no progress in the negotiations.”
