Army Forces clash with armed group attempting to infiltrate into military center in Arsal – Army Command

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command declared Thursday that army units, who are deployed in the region of Wadi Hmeid in Arsal, clashed with an armed group attempting to infiltrate into a military center in the area, leading the group’s members to withdraw and retreat toward the border.

In a similar incident, the command said that an army base in the Arsal town of al-Masyadeh was subject to gunfire from inside a nearby Syrian refugee camp.

A statement issued in this regard said that the army forces responded to the sources of fire and is conducting patrols to pursue the culprits in order to arrest and refer them to the concerned judiciary.
