Soldier Abdul Menhem Khaled joins ranks of Islamic State

The Islamic State announced on Tuesday that Lebanese Armed Forces soldier Abdul Menhem Khaled from Akkar defected from the army and joined its ranks.

In this regard, the state-run National News Agency reported that Khaled had deserted the military institution almost 4 months ago.

No further details were provided.
