Nasrallah: Cultural and ideological motives stand behind the emergence of Takfiri movements
Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Monday that cultural and ideological motives stand behind the emergence of the Takfiri movements, stressing the need to deal with the causes of this situation, rather than the consequences.

In a speech delivered on the third night of Ashoura, Nasrallah said the current situation is “the worst form of distortion to the image of Islam in history,” noting that executions are being broadcast live, leading non-Muslims to resent Islam.

“Hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent to create and fund these movements,” he stated, noting that this situation is too complicated to be resolved militarily.
