A grotto that contains human bones, empty pottery jars of different sizes, and around 50 lanterns was found as municipality workers were using a bulldozer to open a road in the said town.
The grotto is divided into 3 sections, and each has a tomb measuring up to 180 cm in length, 75 cm in width and stands 50 cm deep.
Members from the Hasbaya police station headed to the town of Kawkaba and issued a report on the contents of the grotto, requesting that the municipality close it down pending an official inspection by the Directorate General of Antiquities.
