Gunfire heard in occupied Shebaa Farms
The Israeli army is conducting maneuvers in the Shebaa Farms after gunfire echoed across the occupied area and flare bombs were spotted late on Tuesday.

Tensions have been intermittently reported on the Lebanese southern border. Last month, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a bomb explosion that targeted an Israeli motorized patrol in the hills of Shebaa Farms, and confirmed the patrol suffered casualties.

The Israeli army condemned the bomb explosion as a “dangerous act,” holding the Lebanese cabinet and Hezbollah accountable in this regard.

Israel and Lebanon are technically at war but their 80 km (49 mile) border has been largely quiet since a month-long war between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in 2006.
