LAF unit dismantles explosive device in Arsal
The state-run National News Agency reported on Saturday that the Lebanese army dismantled an explosive device on the outskirts of the border town of Arsal.

The agency noted that the bomb was placed on the side of a road that the army frequently uses in its patrols.

The army also discovered in the region an anti-tank mine weighing 20 kilograms.

In March, the army was the target of a suicide bomb attack in Arsal.

Three troops were killed and four others were injured in the attack.

In August, the army engaged in fierce clashes in Arsal with Islamist armed men from Syria who had overrun the town.
