Security Forces arrest suspected terrorists on suspicion of participating in clashes against LAF
The state-run National News Agency reported on Wednesday that state security arrested a Syrian member of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front on suspicion of participating in the clashes against the Lebanese Armed Forces.

The agency identified the man as Salah al-Dik who was arrested by state security members in the Bekaa Valley's north.

He is suspected of participating in the battles against Lebanese troops in the northeastern border town of Arsal in August.

Similarly, the army also arrested Syrian national Ayad Mohammed Stouf on suspicion of having links with the armed groups entrenched on the Lebanese-Syrian border in Arsal's outskirts.

Another man, identified as Khalil Braidi, was apprehended for participating in the attacks on the army during the Arsal battles.

During the August clashes, fighters from the Islamic State group and al-Nusra Front held Lebanese troops in a cross-border raid on Arsal.

The armed men have already executed four of their captives.
