MP Simon Abi Ramia to LBCI: Israeli strike against Hezbollah is linked to US-Iranian rapprochement
Change and Reform bloc MP Simon Abi Ramia said on Tuesday that the Israeli strike against Hezbollah in Syria is “dangerous,” adding that the military operation is a direct Israeli message to the US administration and the West over the Iranian nuclear file.

Abi Ramia’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show in which he asserted that Hezbollah’s presence in Syria’s Golan Heights is to deter Takfiri groups from entering Lebanon’s Shebaa farms.

He concluded by saying that the West want to dissociate Lebanon from the regional crisis, adding that the International community, along with the Lebanese leaders,  are keen on preserving Lebanon’s peace and stability.

On Sunday, an Israeli strike in Syria killed the son of a slain top Hezbollah commander and another four fighters in a move that could ratchet up tensions with the powerful Lebanese Shiite movement, which recently boasted of rockets that can hit any part of Israel.
