Hezbollah condemns Sunday’s bus bombing in Damascus
Hezbollah condemned on Sunday the bombing that targeted a Lebanese bus carrying Shiite Lebanese pilgrims in a central district of Syria’s Damascus killing and wounding several people.

“Hezbollah condemns the terrorist blast that was carried out by Takfiri criminals in the Syrian capital Damascus and that targeted the visitors of Sayyida Roqaya, killing and wounding several pilgrims,” a Hezbollah statement read.

Hezbollah dubbed Sunday’s explosion as a part of a series of attacks that “targeted pilgrims in Syria, civilians in Iraq and worshipers in Pakistan and to which dozens of martyrs fell victim.”

“The sinful blast shows the barbarian behavior of those terrorists, whose criminal acts serve the Zionist state and its Israel’s project to divide the Muslim world and its people,” the Hezbollah statement added.

“The deeds of those criminals be it suicide attacks, decapitations, or sacrileges- must provoke all the wise groups in the Muslim world and worldwide to join forces to fight and eradicate them after they have become the criminal arms of the Zionist state,” it added.

A bomb placed on a bus ferrying Lebanese pilgrims around Shiite holy sites in Damascus exploded Sunday, killing and injuring several people, according to Syrian activists and Lebanese media.
