REPORT: Storm Yohan wreaks havoc across Lebanon

Storm Yohan is still wreaking havoc across Lebanon on Thursday and is expected to last until next Saturday.

Snow fell at altitudes of 800 meters in the district of Zahle.

As for south Lebanon's Marjeyoun, snow fell at altitudes of 500 meters as schools closed their doors due to the accumulation of snow.

Yohan also brought heavy snow to Lebanon’s mountains, covering villages in the southern towns of Kfar Shouba, Kfar Hammam, and Shebaa.

This as Ain Zhalta-Barouk-Shouf-Niha-Jbaa roads and the Tarchich-Zahle road remain open for SUVs and vehicles equipped with metal chains.

On another note, the Civil Defense members worked on withdrawing two trucks that were stuck in snow on the Tarchich-Dhour Choueir road.
