Salam on Hariri’s anniversary: We seek to consolidate moderation, dialogue

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Tammam Salam marked on Friday the 10th anniversary of former PM Rafik Hariri’s assassination, saying the ex-premier “has constituted an exemplar that is against all forms of extremism”.

“Throughout his political career, Hariri was keen to uphold power balance and safeguard coexistence,” PM Salam said in a statement.

“As we mark this painful occasion, we look forward to upholding the concepts of moderation and dialogue that Hariri had followed as pillars of good governance in a diverse country like Lebanon,” Salam added.
