Thieves break into apartments under the noses of owners

Joseph Karam and his family were shocked to see three masked and armed thieves inside his house located in Sin el Fil at 3 am.

The thieves used a ladder to break into the Karams’ first-floor apartment from a window; yet, they left without being able to steal anything.

This month alone, Lebanon witnessed around 139 thefts, which raises questions on the reasons behind the recent increase in theft rates.
