The Rafik Hariri hospital employees staged a sit-in on Tuesday to protest against the failure to receive 70% of last month's salaries, a day after Health Minister Wael Abou Faour said that the delay was caused by the procedures taken by the former hospital’s administration.
During the sit-in, the protesters complained from a shortage in basic medical equipment, but declared however that the doors of the emergency entrance will remain open to patients.
The Bir Hassan based state hospital has long been the scene of protests held by employees who continuously complain of lack of amenities at the health facility.
