Third phase of new traffic law to kick off as of Monday

The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces declared that the security forces will start, as of next Monday (June 01), implementing the third phase of the new traffic law, which is based on “the old traffic law in accordance with new fines,” effective until July 31rst, 2015.

The first phase of Lebanon’s new traffic law entered into effect early April, while the second phase kicked off at the end of the same month.

The new traffic law was introduced in a bid to cut traffic deaths by half by 2020.
