Member of the Kataeb bloc MP Sami Gemayel announced Wednesday his candidacy for the presidency of the Kataeb party, stressing that the party will be rebuilt through all the energies.
In a press conference, the deputy said that the people have lost their trust in the Lebanese parties and politics due to their dependence to foreign influence, noting that starting revolution against this dependency is inevitable.
“The Kataeb party is the best framework for this revolution, as it has been proven through history,” he said, adding that the Kataeb opens the door for all the Lebanese people of all confessions and social factions and from across all the regions.
In this context, MP Gemayel called on the Muslims to join the Kataeb party in order to co-build the state of Lebanon.
On another note, the MP pointed out that in addition to the national failure, there is an economic deficit weighing over Lebanon, which is represented by the bankruptcy of several companies and the growing unemployment rate.
