An Islamic State official identified as Abou Aisha al-Libi and six IS fighters were killed on Friday in a Hezbollah attack on the Kherbet Hamam region on the outskirts of border town of Arsal, al-Manar TV said. The jihadists were reportedly plotting to launch an attack on the outskirts of Ras Baalbek. Hezbollah also destroyed two IS military vehicles, killing several and wounding six jihadists during the attack, including an IS commander known as Abu Akramah al-Zouhouri and another fighter identified as Ahmed Abdel Mohsen, according to al-Manar. Hezbollah has been on the offensive in Syria's Qalamoun mountains for weeks and has controlled territories from the al- Nusra Front. The party is extremely involved in Syria's civil war, fighting alongside President Bashar Assad's troops.
