Lebanese agricultural unions call for staging a protest on Saturday

The Lebanese agricultural associations and unions held a meeting on Thursday whereby they decided to call for a demonstration to be staged on Saturday to protest against the government's failure to meet their demands.

The protest will denounce the state’s failure in dealing with issues that include the smuggling of Syrian potatoes into Lebanon and the absence of support for land and air shipping to export local agricultural products.
