The Lebanese cabinet convened Thursday at the Grand Serail under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tammam Salam.
Prior to the sessions, Minister of State for Administrative Development Affairs Nabil de Freij hoped Thursday that a cabinet agenda will be approved in a bid to run citizens' affairs, “who are enduring the consequences of the rift between rival alliances, March 8 and March 14.”
Environment Minister Mohammad al-Mashnouq noted that starting extraordinary sessions requires a decree, adding that he supports such a move and will be ready to sign the decree.
For his part, Information Minister Ramzi Jreij said upon his arrival at the Grand Serail, that the country's higher interest must prevail, adding "all ministers are coming with good intentions."
