Minister Bou Saab to LBCI: Our dispute with PM Salam is “only political”

Minister of Education Elias Bou Saab reiterated on Sunday that dispute with Prime Minister Tammam Salam is only “political.”

“PM Salam is a modern figure, and our dispute with is only political,” Minister Bou Saab said during a phone call with LBCI Nharkom Said TV show.

He also noted that another dispute erupted between Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil and Minister of Health Wael Abou Faour during Thursday’s cabinet session.

On another note, Minister Bou Saab stressed that the Free Patriotic Movement “will always defend the Lebanese army.”

A Cabinet session was held on Thursday at the Grand Serail under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tammam Salam amid tight security measures.

The session opened with a heated dispute between PM Tammam Salam and Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil ahead of the cabinet session.

Photographers were kicked out of the session following the argument that erupted between the two concerning the interpretations of the constitution.

Also, the Grand Serail banned any live coverage of today's session. Journalists were escorted outside and were prevented from reporting ministers' statements.
