Jal el-Dib municipality to dump garbage next to the sea

The municipality of Jal el-Dib decided Thursday to collect the piles of garbage covering the region’s streets, and dispose of them in areas overlooking the sea, specifically lands that encroach on maritime properties.

The lands will be used as temporary landfills, to which the waste produced by Roumieh prison will also be transported.

The municipality called on the citizens to sort their waste before sending it to the landfill.
