[PHOTO] Hunger striker Waref Sleiman rushed to hospital

Hunger striker and You Stink campaign activist Waref Sleiman was rushed on Sunday to the American University of Beirut Medical Center after the deterioration of his health.

Several activists started a hunger strike on Thursday (September 03) outside the Environment Ministry’s building in Beirut to press for Minister Mohammad Mashnouq's resignation. The protesters set up tents on the pavement facing the building.

The move came two days after riot police cleared dozens of "You Stink “activists who had occupied the environment ministry to press the minister to resign over his failure to deal with the unprecedented waste management crisis.
