LAF arrest wanted fugitive in Baalbek

The Lebanese Army arrested Monday a wanted man, identified as Riad Saleh, suspected of promoting counterfeit currency in the Shrawne town of Baalbek.

The arrest came after Saleh refused to comply with the orders of soldiers who asked him to bring his vehicle to a halt at an LAF checkpoint.

Soldiers then opened fire in the direction of his vehicle, which left him wounded.

The arrestee was transported to the hospital for treatment.
