Financial Prosecutor Ali Ibrahim summoned on Thursday Future Movement MP Jamal al-Jarrah and Change and Reform bloc MP Ziad Aswad on the backdrop of the scuffle that erupted earlier this week during a meeting of the Parliamentary committee for public works.
Sources reported to LBCI, however, that the Parliament’s General Secretariat called on the deputies to dismiss Judge Ibrahim’s convocation.
The dispute occurred Monday as deputies tackled the country's electricity crisis, raising the matter of unpaid bills and waste of public funds.
The session was suspended due to the quarrel.
