Health Ministry issues warning to six pubs, one restaurant

The Ministry of Health issued on Saturday warnings to six pubs and a restaurant for failing to meet health standards in Beirut's Gemmayze area and Biel.

The four pubs in Gemmayzeh are the following: Borsolicro, Vie Club, Calle and Charlies – and a restaurant, Coquely, who all received warnings from Minister of Health Wael Abou Faour for their unhygienic kitchens.

A similar warning was also issued for the Seven Sisters and Music Hall in Beirut's Biel.

The Health Ministry launched a year ago a nationwide crackdown on unhygienic food and medical establishments, shutting down hundreds of restaurants, pubs, bakeries, supermarkets, pharmacies and cosmetic clinics across Lebanon.
