Minister Machnouq insists on putting forward file of Civil Defense volunteers-press office

The press office of Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouq issued a statement on Tuesday saying that Minister Nouhad Machnouq had insisted to put forward the file of the Civil Defense volunteers.

The statement added however that Machnouq was faced with insistence that the session was an extraordinary one specialized to tackle the waste management issue.

On Monday, Civil Defense contract workers and volunteers continued their sit-in in Martyrs Square, awaiting the outcome of the cabinet session.

The protesters had declared an open-ended sit-in last week (Saturday 19) to call on the government to finalize their employment decrees.
