Introduction to the evening news 09-04-2012
Tomorrow, Tuesday April 10, may become a significant date in the history of Syria if the long-awaited end of the bloodshed takes effect. Otherwise, it will mark the resumption of yet another round of violence.

Theoretically, tomorrow Syrian troops should start withdrawing form streets and neighborhoods in line with U.N. envoy Kofi Annan’s plan. However, the regime set as a condition that the opposition presents written guarantees that it will surrender all weapons before committing to a complete pull-back. This condition might scuttle tomorrow’s deadline. Even so, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Naji Koro considered that Tuesday’s deadline has been rendered useless.

On the eve of this date, the Syrian-Turkish border as well as the Lebanese-Syrian border witnessed turmoil: heavy fighting broke out on the border between Turkey and the troubled country bringing bloodshed to Syrian refugee camps, while, in Wadi Khaled, on the border between the Cedar Nation and Syria, the life of an Al-Jadeed TV cameraman was cut short by the bullets of Syrian troops.
