EDL contract workers hold peaceful strike

EDL contract workers held a peaceful strike on Thursday in the internal hall of the company building in Cornish al-Naher where there was neither road blocking nor clashes. The employees entered normally to their offices. A tent was set in the outer court and banners were raised to claim the implementation of their demands.

While LBCI’s team was trying to prepare a report on the results of the contract workers’ strike, amid mediations attempting to find a solution for both parties: workers and Energy Ministry, there was chaos in the place where the electricity bills are usually issued to be handed over to the collectors, when some collectors tried to steal EDL bills.
