Syrian clashes near Mashari al-Qaa, casualties reported

The Lebanese-Syrian border is currently witnessing heavy clashes on the Syrian side, facing the area of Mashari al-Qaa that led to the death of three people and the injury of seven others. One dead and six injured were taken to Hermel Hospital.

LBCI crew was prohibited from going near Jousi crossing for fear from stray bullets from the Syrian side, especially after a rocket fell one meter away from a military check point.

Traffic in both directions was stopped because of the deteriorating security situation.

While the regions of Al-Kasir and al-Nazariyeh near the Lebanese borders are witnessing military operations, LAF has strengthened its positions in the region separating al-Qaa and Jousi crossing.
