Body of Ali Gharib found, criminal arrested

Army Intelligence found early Friday morning the body of Ali Ahmad Gharib in a puddle of water on Arnoun highway. Ali Ahmad Gharib hails from the village of Al-Khiyam and was born in 1958. He died of gunshot wounds to the head.

His remains were transferred to the public hospital in Nabatieh. Investigations revealed that the killer’s name is Hussein Najib Gharib from the village of Debbin, born in 1989.

He was arrested by the Intelligence services in Nabatieh while he was trying to tamper with the crime scene.

The criminal confessed to his crime, saying that he killed Ali using a hunting rifle, adding that he took him from Al-Khiyan to the village of Arnoun where he perpetrated the crime inside his car. Najib then dumped the body on the side of Arnoun highway and then proceeded to wash the evidence off of his car.
