EDL contract workers reopen main gate of EDL

The EDL contract workers reopened the main gate of the company’s building after they were promised to receive their salaries within days.

The EDL contract workers had blocked the gates of the company’s buildings both in Corniche al-Nahr and Tyre, thus preventing the cars belonging to the company from entering.

The contract workers were protesting over the failure to receive their salaries for the last four months.

In this context, the head of the EDL follow-up committee, Mohammad Fayad, explained that the EDL contract workers are not seeking to escalate their movement; “however, the matter has become a livelihood issue”.
