Mikati’s Office: partial payment made for STL expresses Premiers commitment to justice

Prime Minister Najib Mikati’s media office stated on Friday that an “illogical campaign devoid of any logic choired against the premiere” as soon as he announced that he was to partially pay for the funds pertaining to the STL.

Mikati’s office stressed that those involved in defaming and questioning the motives of the Prime Minister are only in turn showing the extent of their hatred. “Those are not seeking justice or truth, but are only using the blood of martyr PM Hariri’s name for their political rallies,” the statement added.

“Mikati in paying some of the funds’ amount is only portraying his sense of nationalism and asserting his beliefs in justice and truth as well as Lebanon’s commitment to international obligations,” the statement concluded.
