Bassil to bring two power generating vessels

Minister of Energy Gebran Bassil signed an agreement on Friday with “Karadeniz” to bring over two power generating vessels. Each vessel will provide over 270 Megawatts, with the first vessel arriving in 120 days, the second one 60 days later.

Bassil requested from the Ministry of Labor to decrease the time of arrival of those ships, adding that the agreement was signed with the best options available. “The contact secures Lebanese rights to their full extent and any delay in the arrival of those ships will yield the company a penalty of $USD270, 000 per day,” Bassil added.
