“My Nationality is a Right for Me and My Family” joins protest wave
A ministerial committee was formed on March 21 to discuss the amendment of the nationality law that puts Lebanese women at the bottom of the "food chain", according to activists who took the campaign to Deputy PM Samir Mokbel’s office on Thursday.

Clarifications on why the committee (headed by Mokbel)formed for the aforementioned issue had not yet convened, were demanded.

Mokbel explained that the reason behind this delay is the delicate phase that the country is going through, confirming that he is studying the file thoroughly in order to hold a meeting soon.

Mokbel also stressed that the issue should be kept away from political biddings.
