Jdita’s thirsty residents raise the tone
The residents of Jdita, Bekaa broke the locks of a main distributing water well in their town. The well is said to quench the thirst of seven neighboring towns leaving Jdita in a state of thirst for over two months.

Through LBCI, the head of the Jdita municipality Wahib Kikano called on concerned parties to provide water to the region, threatening to cut off the highway if the situation remains unchanged.

This well feeds Jdita’s nearby towns that are suffering from water shortages due to power rationing that prevents the pumping of water. As for the towns of Chtoura, Makseh, Teelbaya and Saadnayel, they receive Jdita’s water by gravity alone.
