Aoun: Request to receive complete data illegal and unconstitutional
Change and Reform bloc head, MP Michel Aoun, announced on Tuesday that March 14’s request to receive complete telecom data is “illegal” and “unconstitutional” and violates the people’s private lives.
Following his bloc's weekly meeting, Aoun added that “this request is provocative and unacceptable”.
“If they keep acting this way, they will [kill all hope] for dialogue”, he stressed.

Commenting on national dialogue, Aoun explained that “the issue of arms is not included in the dialogue agenda. The recent session was adjourned to be resumed today in order to discuss a national defense strategy put forth by President Michel Sleiman”.

On a separate note, Aoun said that the security situation in Akkar and Arsal is improving, calling on the residents to be wary and help the LAF carry out its duty.
