Truth about Thursday’s Bourj Hammoud attack

Following reports stating that a number of residents in Bourj Hammoud were subject to an attack by gunmen on Thursday evening on their way back from a visit to the cemeteries of Armenian martyrs, it was revealed that the incident was just a fight between teenagers.

In this context, the residents noted that the attackers are two Christians who brought their friends of different confessions.

This incident raised statements about a dispute between “Shiia and Armenians” or between “Hezbollah and Tashnag”. However, the two related parties played the role of calming down the fight.

The dispute that took place in Bourj Hammoud is a sample of what happens almost every day in overpopulated suburbs of the capital.
