EDL contract workers delegation meets with Ghassan Ghossen

A delegation from the EDL contract workers met with President of the General Workers Union Ghassan Ghossen on the eve of the EDL’s implementation of the decision made by its Board of Directors to allow the issuance and collection of bills by service providers.

Ghosn announced that the Union will participate in the negotiations to stand by the contract workers.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee representing the EDL contract workers Lubnan Makhoul emphasized that a sit in will take place on Monday, citing Friday’s events as “outright theft”.

In his concluding remarks Makhoul insisted on the peaceful movement of the EDL contract workers, adding that the "campaign aimed at distorting their image will not yield success."
