EDL back to business on Monday
Electricité du Liban (EDL) announced Saturday that its technical teams began conducting maintenance work and repairing the accumulated malfunctions across all Lebanese regions, mainly in Greater Beirut, following the agreement reached between Energy Minister Gibran Bassil and the concerned parties over the company’s contract workers and collectors.

EDL announced that it would resume work at its main building in Corinche al-Nahr starting Monday morning, adding that business will go back to normal.

The Lebanese electricity company called on all its workers at the main building and all the company’s branches that were earlier closed, to go back to their offices, urging them not to enter their offices unless accompanied by security forces to make sure there is nothing dislocated, broken or missing, given the exceptional circumstances the company went through.

The company called on citizens to pay their electricity bills after making sure collectors have the special cards given to them by the contracting companies.
