El Khazen to LBCI: Any change of government will drag Lebanon into the abyss

MP Farid Elias El Khazen said on Sunday that the Syrian crisis began to affect Lebanon since day one. According to El Khazen, the situation in Syria might worsen, denying any link between the deportation of Syrian citizens and the issue of 11 Lebanese hostages.

El Khazen confirmed to Nharkom Said TV show that the security apparatuses are carrying out their duties flawlessly, stressing the importance of neutralizing these apparatuses.

The law maker added that Lebanon faces today a major challenge, warning that any change of government will drag the country into political and security abyss.

When asked about the conflict between the FPM and Speaker Nabih Berri over the EDL contract workers issue, El Khazen emphasized that the problem is fixed and a new chapter is opened.

The eleven Lebanese pilgrims were kidnapped on their way back from Iran by insurgents, hoping to use them for a prisoner swap on the 20th of May
