Abou Ibrahim proposes to hold negotiations with MP Okab Sakr or General al-Hassan

After conflicting reports emerged on Saturday stating the escape of one of the 11 hostages in Syria following shelling targeting the place where they are held, Beirut’s southern suburbs are still in a state of caution, especially after LBCI aired a video showing one of the 11 detainees, Hussein Zoughaib.

In this context, Ambassador of the International Organization for Human Rights Ali Aqil Khalil told LBCI that the leader of the kidnapping group Abou Irahim refuses to hold the negotiations with the proposed person and wants either MP Okab Sakr or Internal Security Forces – Information Branch Colonel Wissam al-Hassan as possible alternatives.

This video tape is part of an interview conducted by reporter Fida Itani, where Zougheib confirmed that all the hostages are in good health.

Sources told LBCI that the hostages’ relatives contacted the leader of the kidnapping group, Abou Ibrahim, who asked them not to call him again and said that all the hostages are in good health.

In this context, Fatma Zougheib, the wife of the Lebanese detainee Ali Zougheib, told LBCI that her husband is in good health, hoping that all the detainees will be released within ten days.

For her part, Randa Arzouki, the wife of Hassan Arzouki, called on Ministers of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour and Interior Marwan Charbel to find a solution for this issue, while Siham Ibrahim held the Lebanese government responsible for the delay.
