How will KSA's adoption of Islamist groups reflect on Lebanon?
The Arab spring and the ensuing events that swept through the region triggered the Saudi Chief of Intelligence Prince Bandar bin Sultan and other Saudi princes to suggest new ideas based on the necessity to create new Islamist movements in the Arab region, movements that would constitute the Kingdom’s main allies.
In this regard, Future bloc MP Nohad Machnouk told LBCI that the relation between Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood was "not good" back in history, stressing that the status quo requires a reconciliation between them. “This reconciliation would be more a cooperation than an alliance”, he said.

On the impact on Lebanon, Machnouk said that Lebanon has another specificity, pointing out that the influence of the different parties in Lebanon is determined by elections, not coups.

Machnouk stressed that the financial crisis that hit the “Saudi Oger” Ltd. has nothing to do with political relations, adding that the impact of this crisis is “limited and temporary”.
