Terro: Cabinet serves all Lebanese interests

State Minister for Displaced People Alaaeddine Terro said that “the current cabinet serves all Lebanese interests and does not adopt a policy of revenge, spite and hatred despite the fact that it is not a National Unity Cabinet.”

Terro added that the cabinet takes into account its internal balance, respects the international resolutions and does not hold anyone accountable for past misconduct.

Terro said, during the Progressive Socialist Party Alumni Association dinner, that “the current cabinet seeks to defend Lebanon against near and far threats.”

Terro added that “no one in Lebanon can ignore the issue of the STL, which was established at the request of the U.N.”, adding that the Progressive Socialist Party endorses the STL funding so the tribunal would be able to carry on with its work and reveal the truth behind the assassination of late PM Rafik Hariri and the other martyrs of Lebanon.

Terro said that the issue of Hezbollah’s arms is tearing apart the Lebanese community, adding that those demanding the relinquishment of arms know very well that they cannot do anything in this regard due to current events.

Terro said: “We support the role of these arms in defending Lebanon and its unity; however, we have and will always reject the internal arms, for they will only be a means for fights and battles between the Lebanese.”
