Khreis: Political situation requires national dialogue

Liberation and Development bloc MP Ali Khreis said Saturday that the Arab world is going through a critical and delicate phase which requires heightened awareness and the willingness to resort to dialogue when dealing with crucial issues through the institutions of Arab and Islamic nations.

Khreis added that the real threat lies in the deterioration of the security situation and the hegemony of creative chaos; awakening us to the attempts to steer Lebanon in line with U.S. and Israeli interests.

Khreis stressed, during a commemorative ceremony, that the current political situation implies the necessity of resorting to national dialogue to settle the pending political and economic issues for the political spitefulness of the opposition is not limited to politics, rather reaches out for economy, security and strategy.

Khreis underlined that the golden base in Lebanon is “the country, resistance and army” and the issue of the resistance arms is beyond discussion.
