The defense attorney of former Minister Michel Samaha filed a legal complaint on the information leaked back when former Minister Michel Samaha was at the ISF’s Information Division and even after his transfer to the military court. In fact, as soon as the interrogation session kicked off at the military court and even before the session was lifted, it was leaked to a media outlet that Samaha denied his previous testimony. The first leakage was soon followed by a second one stipulating that the defense attorneys will file a legal complaint against General Ashraf Rifi and Colonel Wissam al-Hassan on charges of leaking information.         

In an attempt to score the equalizing goal with the ISF's Information Division, the defense attorneys are leaking information themselves. In an immediate indirect response to leakages, General Rifi praised the work of Colonel Wissam al-Hassan whom he described as “smart and intrepid”; he paid tribute to officers and all those who worked on Samaha’s case as well as the work of the detective.        

Well-informed sources were not surprised by Samaha’s denial, saying that most of the detainees adopt this approach in order to say that their confessions were made under pressure. However, these sources pointed out that all the evidence, recordings, pictures and seizures in the case strip this denial of any meaning.        

In this regard, exclusive sources told LBCI: “Shedding the light on Milad Kfoury to withhold attention from Michel Samaha is to no avail; Kfoury only appeared in the final stage, after the receipt of the explosives in Syria, their transfer to Lebanon and their delivery to him.”        

Security sources explained that Kfoury’s collaboration with the LAF intelligence came to an end with the transfer of General Jamil Sayyed back then from the Directorate of Intelligence to the General Security.
