Massacre against Awkar’s dogs

Activists from “BETA” association for animal care were able to save 12 dogs and transfer them to a shelter where they will receive appropriate care after being abandoned by their owners on the streets.

The activists saved the dogs from a farm abandoned by its owners in Awkar where they used to force the dogs to breed despite difficult conditions. It was reported that 28 dogs were found dead.

Awkar farm is not one of its kind in Lebanon, it has become a “phenomenon” that ensures financial benefits for some people. Until now, those who commit atrocities against animals have not yet been arrested.
