ICRC: Mokdad family requests our interference

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reported that the relatives of the Lebanese detainee in Syria Hassan Mokdad met with the committee officials who expressed their willingness to make the necessary contacts in order to reveal the destiny of Hassan Mokdad.

The committee’s spokesperson stated that the Mokdad family was informed that the Red Cross does not take part in any negotiations. Its only mission is to try and collect useful information about the detainee and its situation.

Hassan Mokdad’s disappearance news caused lately a massive security chaos in Lebanon.
