Hajjar: Bassil is exercising demagoguery

Future bloc member MP Mohammad el Hajjar said that the electricity plan should be discussed with the concerned committees. Hajjar added that it is a breach of legislative protocol for Speaker Berri to request that the plan be discussed by the General Authority.

Hajjar told Nharkom Said show on LBC that March 14 forces are exercising their legislative and regulatory rights concerning the electricity plan since its costs might reach $6 billion.

Hajjar considered that Gebran Bassil is exercising demagoguery and asked him to answer all the questions about the technical aspects of the electricity plan.

“Bassil has an unknown agenda that no one is aware of and he didn’t answer the MPs questions in a clear and technical way” Hajjar told LBC.
