Jounieh celebrates World’s Longest Bar

The city of Jounieh will celebrate on Tuesday evening the World’s Longest Bar extending from Jounieh’s square all the way to the municipality building.

The Guinness Book certificate is not the sole motivation behind this celebration staged by Jounieh’s Cafés and Restaurants Association, but boosting tourism also comes next in line.

In this context, Head of Jounieh’s Cafés and Restaurants Association, Roger Saad told LBCI that this event aims at breaking the Guinness record for the third consecutive year as per “the rules of the game”.

This is not the first time Jounieh attempts such a stunt. Last years bar measured 370 meters, with this year's expecting to reach 450 meters.

Entry fees range between 50, 000 LBP and 150, 000 LBP.
